The stones originally stretched from the Riverhead Courthouse to Orient Point, and many of them survive to this day. The author details the equipment used to place the stones, the present-day locations of the surviving stones with hand drawn maps, the efforts to restore and protect the stones, and includes photos of many of the stones.
